We’re excited to be part of a new program for high school students who want to become leaders in animal care and climate solutions! The program, called LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet), helps students build community, develop leadership skills, and learn through hands-on activities. Topics include animal rescue, basic veterinary care, ethics, how the food system affects the planet and people, and ways to help the climate and animals.
As part of LEAP, students will spend a week at a nearby animal sanctuary, working on group projects and learning from experts in areas like animal law, food science, vet care, sanctuary work, clean energy, and more.
