Sanctuary Workday

  • Jolene's Retreat 16560 Coleman Valley Road Occidental, CA, 95465 United States (map)

🕊 Join us Sunday, September 21, 10 AM–2 PM at Jolene’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary in Occidental, CA, for a Sanctuary Workday with heart—and purpose. 💚

This comes on the heels of the Perdue Rescue Trial—an urgent moment for justice. Starting September 15 in Santa Rosa, Zoe Rosenberg, a UC Berkeley student and DxE investigator who rescued four sick chickens—Poppy, Ivy, Aster, and Azalea—from Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry facility, faces nearly five years in prison for her act of compassion. Her trial, now underway, echoes a powerful question: When is rescuing suffering animals a crime, and when is it courage?

We're stepping up—showing up in solidarity.

Bring your friends, your energy, your hands that are ready to help build, clean, and care—not just for Jolene's beautiful residents, but in honor of all animals who deserve safety, joy, and love.

Let’s make this day a powerful gesture of hope—feeding the future, one rescued life at a time.
